(updated: April 2012)
I am currently out of Carved Cicada flutes except for one F "lefty". I have flutes underway and will have an E available in several days.
All of my Carved Cicada flutes are excellent quality.
This flute is intended to be a personal treasure, best quality colorful aromatic cedar. Nicely carved, inlay enamel detail, a very unusual and artful flute. This flute really looks and feels good in person. I have been building flutes for 30 years always not quite satisfied but knowing the flutes were headed somewhere. Well I think my flutes have arrived at their destination and I'm excited about this one. Lovely performance quality instrument. Built to last hundreds of years. 6 hole tuning. 22 to 26 inches long, key of A (22"), G(24"), F#, E(26"). The E is lower pitched and is an easy reach for most adults. I have some Es with offset finger holes for an easier reach-let me know if you play with right or left hand at the low notes . The A and G can be played by young people and have a higher and brighter sound.
NOTE: I am NOT a member of any Native American Tribe.
